Nidus Architects was founded by former Zoo Keeper, James Lingard so we understand that animal exhibits differ from any other type of building. The conflicting needs of animals, staff and public offer unique challenges and using our expertise we will work with you to deliver forward thinking animal habitats that work for the animals, staff and visiting public.
We provide zoo design services across all project stages and for projects of all scales and budget.
We will tailour our services according to your needs and can oversee the entire project, or just provide professional assistance when needed.
We employ ‘local thinking’ throughout our work and believe it should have a positive effect on the places we work. We look at where materials will be sourced, the trades locally available and how we can contribute to your project in a way that benifits everyone.
Local thinking doesn’t just mean we undertake projects close to home, rather it means we want to contribute positively to the communities, people and places we work with by forming long standing, mutually benificial collaborations.
We look at where materials will be sourced, locally available trades and how we can contribute to your project in a way that benifits everyone.
We belive zoo design should be sustainable and support passive principles of construction. This means we believe in simple, robust solutions that consider the entire life cycle of a building.
Our approach to sustainability includes the materials and technologies we utilise as well as designing to bring maximum social and economic value.
