We will work with you, tailoring our approach to your unique needs and requirements
Established in 2012 Nidus Architects is a small practice on the Herefordshire and Radnorshire borders.
The practice was founded by James Lingard, a Chartered Architect, former tutor in sustainable technology and design at the University of Plymouth and a RIBA medal nominee.
We work in partnership with our clients to deliver thoughtful, cost effective buildings that enrich the people who use them and the places they occupy.
We’re always looking for the simple solution’s to complex problems so that we can design beautiful buildings that make people smile.
We provide architectural design and management services across all project stages and for projects of all scales and budget.
From initial concept, planning and construction drawings through to contract management and project completion we understand that all projects are unique and all clients have individual requirements.
We will tailour our services according to your needs and can oversee the entire project, or just provide professional assistance when needed.
We employ ‘local thinking’ throughout our work and believe it should have a positive effect on the people and places we share. We look at where materials will be sourced, the trades locally available and how we can contribute to your project in a way that benifits everyone.
Local thinking doesn’t just mean we undertake projects close to home, (although much of our work is very local, we do undertake projects further afield), rather it means we want to contribute positively to the communities, people and places we work by forming long standing, mutually benificial collaborations.
We look at where materials will be sourced, locally available trades and how we can contribute to your project in a way that benifits everyone.
We belive architecture should be sustainable and support passive principles of design. This means we believe in simple, robust solutions that consider the entire life cycle of a building, be it a new build passive house or a small extension to an existing building.
Our approach to sustainability includes the materials and technologies we utilise as well as designing to bring maximum social and economic value.
